Reload & Focus

When you’re living a fast paced life, its  important to find moment to reload you’re batteries and I am not only referring to your smart phone or camera’s batteriers. We all have different preferences of how to reload but I’ve found the most efficient way to just surround myself with inspirational works of art.

Whether its a book, a well-written article, clever quotes or storytelling photographies I find these kinds of artforms as a great way reload. It’s a great way to boost inspiration, it doesn’t necessarily have to come immediately – the fact that it does is enough.

There’s no place like home, and I do have a love mine – especially my bed. Whats better than to start the day with a long breakfast in bed, watching TV-shows. Go out for a little walk to buy a some fresh flowers, pour a cup of coffee and just do something you enjoy – like just be one with the silence.

While some cant bare the silence and have to put on the TV as soon as they land at home, I barely use my TV. There have been moment where I’ve been contemplating to use my TV-bench for something more useful. Like decorate it with coffee table books, candles and such. Which bring us to these heavy books, filled with history and words from people whom I’ve been admiring for years.

Here’s a few favorite quotes from the one and only, Karl Lagerfeld:

“People who do a job that claims to be creative have to be alone to recharge their batteries. You can’t live 24 hours a day in the spotlight and remain creative. For people like me, solitude is a victory.”
Karl Lagerfeld

“I like to reinvent myself — it’s part of my job.”

Karl Lagerfeld

“Fashion is about two things: the evolution and the opposite.”
Karl Lagerfeld

“What i like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.”
Karl Lagerfeld
