Spring doesn’t mean its not going to be cold, it doesn’t mean its going to be sunny. From chilly mornings to warm afternoons, to colder evenings, it can at times be challenging to puzzle together a looks that fits all criteria. Layering is a necessity, however, balancing the right amount of pieces is a part of the challenge.

Being the sun worshipping person that I am, as soon as spring arrives I’m already thinking of the perfect summer wardrobe. Although I’d love to fast forward to summer, I do my best to enjoy the seasons and seasonal pieces, but that doesn’t mean I do it according to the books.

That’s why I enjoy layering classical summer pieces with seasonal pieces around this time of the year. As mentioner previously, KappAhl’s Vintage collection holds a variety of lovely summer items – and as you can see, they’re versatile as well. This crochet top is just as versatile for a windy day in the city, as well with a nice skirt when the summer kicks in – or why not wearing it on the beach over the bikini? Truth is, there are many possibilities and at the end of the day we’re the only ones setting the bar. Right? What are you dressing up tips for in-between-tricky-weather-conditions?

Can’t go wrong with a classic like a beige trench! :) You’re looking gorgeous in this combo and I’m loving your sunnies and bag!

I love how you layered the crochet piece under the trench. I’ve always tried to purchase spring/summer clothes that can be worn seasonally through layering. I never thought to style a long sleeve summer top underneath a trench coat. This is definitely a style that I hope to adapt. So chic!

Gosh, you’re certainly the queen of layering outfits! I absolutely love this look and yes, you don’t have to dress according to the books! Fashion has no rules. In fact, I actually like the way how you add a personal touch to any look :) That’s Sara! :) xo, Vivian
