LFW Report: Toga Archives AW17
Toga is always a force to be recognised, and season after season they prove just that. The venue was at a beautiful church in London. The collection was beautifully conceptualised and styled – what’s not to love about long sleeved gloves with embellishments and sequins, or one big puffy sleeve? Although I’m not a big fan of cutouts, Yasuko Furuta, designer for Toga surprises me and has me considering. What I love about this collection is the perfect balance between the feminine and masculine vibes, silky textures that moves beautifully next to tweeds and oversized blazers. A beautiful presentation of what a power-suit could look like – but not as we’ve seen before.
Although I am in no hurry in thinking of fall, I do visualise adding these long-sleeves gloves with embodiment to the mix. I’ve always had a week spot for sequins, feathers, glitters and embellishments and I love how Toga present their way of doing it. The collections is by far one of Londons best collection, and on the top list on this seasons fashion month. As for the models, it was a fairly divers choice of models – just look at the beauty (sorry don’t know her name) with long beautiful curls below, ah!
