Came to think about how often my style has changes over the past years, after scrolling through Instagram I came to the conclusion that it was a few. Hair styles too, but that’s another topic. Been considering publishing a style diary seriers, would you guys like that?

At the moment I’m reliving my teenage years (apparently?!), I’ve changed jean for tights and leggings, heels for sneakers and as the cherry on the top; Alfa Industries bomber jacket – I’m getting a little nostalgic again. Or as this sweetheart say, every day joy!

One of the most gratifying aspects of my job is to fully explore and engage in the city I call home as I produce lifestyle content. Stockholm certainly carries on its Scandinavian heritage, but the distinct cultures it embraces also soften the edges and blur the dress code.

Another aspect of my job that I truly enjoy is that I get the chance to work with talented people, in some cases I’m priviliged to call them friends. My friend Chrystelle for example, a creative mind who’s blog you can find here. Not your average mom-blog – this girl has a lot of sass’!

And the bag, yeah it’s pretty much amazing. Cute with a hint of attitude!

…så skulle jag faktiskt inte göra om det. Däremot blir jag tillräckligt nostalgisk av Fila, jag kan inte hjälpa det. Vissa märken har man bara en koppling till som tydligen sitter djupt inrotad. Jag hade lätt kunnat bo i den här looken, resten av vintern.

Något annat som skriker 90-tal är alla härliga puffer jackor, så otroligt skönt. Helt kär i denna, bra budget alternativ – påminner mig mycket om Raf Simmons puffer jackor, älskar! Det enda som skulle toppa det är en snygg overall, japp du läste rätt. Hittar jag en snygg overall, blir det vinterstorm – varför inte? LOL!


…I wouldn’t go through with it. However, Fila get’s me enough nostalgic. I can’t help it. There are some brand that one just has a special connection to, and apparently this one is deep rooted. Could easily live in this look, for the rest of the week. 

Another piece that screams 90’s fashion are all the amazing puffer jackets, they’re incredibly comfy. I’m completely in love with this look, great high-street alternativ – reminds me of Raf Simmons puffer jackets, love them! The only thing that could possibly top this would possibly be a nice overall, in case of a snowstorm – why not? LOL!

How To Deal With Winter Blues

Även om vi snart går in i December så pumpar jag fortfarande låtar från sommarens Spotify lista, det hjälper mig att hålla humöret när solen lyser från med sin frånvaro. Vintern är en jobbig tid för många här uppe i Norden, brist på ljus och D-vitamin kan verkligen sätta krokben och försvåra vardagen. Så här gör jag för att hålla vinterdeppen borta.

Färg 

Jag och färgen svart var nästan synonyma en gång i tiden, idag trivs jag bäst i ljusa och färgglada plagg. Det hjälper verkligen humöret plus att omgivningen blir också glada. Finns flera studier på hur färger påverkar oss så om ni vill nörda in er på ämnet finns det mycket att läsa.

Musik

Just nu försöker jag undvika deppig musik. däremot spelar jag gärna sköna afro-beats som påminner om varma sommardagar. Egentligen vad som helst som boostar energinivån, älskar Spotify som förser mig med nya och gamla låtar, älskar att få rekommendationer baserat på musik jag spelat föregående vecka. Om ni inte har aktiverat den funktionen så rekommenderar jag det varmt.

Ljus

Fick ett bra tips för några månader sedan som jag har testat det senaste. Istället för att hålla belysningen nere så gör jag tvärtom, först vid 19-20 tiden går jag in i mys-mode hemma, resultat blir att jag inte är lika trött på kvällarna. Jag är väldigt känslig när det kommer till dagsljus, så om du är likadan kanske du ska prova att hålla lamporna på längre.

Träna 

Träning är jätteviktigt för mig under vintertiden, under sommaren är  det enklare att få in vardagsmotionen. Jag brukar inte vara så peppad på att stå och svettas när det är fint väder ute, men det går jättebra nu. Gäller bara att ta sig dit också (haha!!)

Mat

Vet att ni hört det många gånger, men vad vi stoppar i kroppen påverkar vårt mående, var snäll mot kroppen och förse den med vitaminer och mineraler som gör den gott. Denna vinter försöker jag vara bättre med D-vitamin tabletter, Vita Viva har även ett tillskott som ska vara speciellt utformat för oss uppe i Norden som handskas med vinterdepression – inte testat just den, men tycker det är nog dags. Provat deras andra produkter, dem håller en god kvalité så in och kika där.

 


 

Although we’re soon in December, I’m  still blasting songs from last summer Spotify list, it helps me keep my spirit up  when the sun shines by its absence. Winter is a tough time for many up here in the North, lack of light and vitamin D can actually strung along and complicate ones everyday life. This is how I stay away from winter blues.

Colors

The color black and I was almost synonymous one time, today I enjoy  bright and colorful clothes. It really helps the mood plus people around seem affected by it as well. There are several studies on how colors affect us so if you want to geek out on your subject, there is much to read.

Music

At the moment, I’m avoiding music that makes me sad, however, I like to play upbeat afro-beats while reminiscing on warm summer days. Actually, anything that boosts energy levels, loves Spotify for providing me with new and old songs, love to get recommendations based on music I played the previous week. If you haven’t enabled it in your app, I recommend to do so.

Light

Got a great tip a few months ago that I have tested. Instead of keeping the lights down during the evenings I’m not letting them stay on. Cosy-mode starts around 19-20 time at home, the result: not as tired in the evenings. I’m very sensitive when it comes to daylight, so if you’re struggling with lack of light –  maybe you should try to keep the lights on longer.

Exersize

Training is very important for me during winter time, it’s easier to get daily exercise during summer since you’re naturally more active (and outdoors). I tend not to be so psyched to stand and sweat in a gym when the weather is nice out there, but works fine now. I just need to make sure that I actually make it there too (haha!!)

Eat

I know that you have heard it many times; but what we put in your body affects our mood too, be kind to your body and provide it with vitamins and minerals that make it good. This winter I’m attempting to be better with vitamin-D tablets, VitaViva has a supplement that will is specifically designed for us up in Scandinavia that deals with winter depression – haven’t tested it, but think it’s probably time. I’ve tried their other products earlier, high-quality products so take a look at their site.
