Copenhagen Fashion Week

For the first day of Copenhagen Fashion Week, my goal was to dreas as comftoble as possible to make the experience as pleasurble as possible. Let’s be honest, watching shows and presentations are fun but not so glamouros some might think it to be.

Besides from wearing this underneath my coat, it felt like an easy option to add a nice twist to the look by wearing my coat with faux fur cuffs and add a cubby that’s adds a nice contract to the look. Don’t you just love when you add a single piece that makes the complete attire levitate to the next level? I sure do, makes the whole experience more fun and playful.

Speaking of faux fur, make sure to keep them close when spring arrives because they will come handy this fall/winter – there’s a lot of (faux) fur action being presented at the shows, not only here in Scandinavian fashion weeks but all around the world.

How To Do Fashion Week(s) in Ease

Fashion Week(s) and ‘comfort’ aren’t two words that necessarily associated to each other, but since the days are packed with packed with running from shows, to meetings to events it only felt more than logical to actually apply as much comfort as possible.

And what more comfortable than to walk around in your PJ’s all day? You tell me. Luckily, this isn’t impossible – in fact its one of my favorite trends for spring. Being in Denmark for Fashion Week, I took the opportunity to wear one of my favorite Danish designer’s pajama set, By Malene Birger with my Sandro sneakers. Let’s just say that I was more than content throughout the day, best of being that I didn’t feel I compromised a bit on style due to the amazing design.

The set is a part of By Malene Birger’s SS16 collection and will be out here soon.

Its safe to say that this isn’t my first nor last set of pajama you’ll see me strolling around in. What do you think about the trend? Would you wear you PJ’s outside you home? Don’t forget to share your thoughts below.

Although I have plenty of looks to share from last weeks Fashion Week madness, I though it would be a nice break to incorporate some other content.

Instead of getting a hotel room, as I usually do I thought it would be nice to rent and Airbnb instead. Needless to say, I fell in love with this spacious apartment right away. The interior and decor was right up my alley (read: photo opportunities).

All in all, I really enjoyed the experienced my Airbnb stay although I love the whole hotel experience and feel of not having to do the usual day to day stuff. But to be able to live for a few days in a beautiful space such as this one made it worth it.

Just sitting on these stairs, having a coffee each morning before getting ready for the shows, while enjoying the view of the apartment and my friends getting ready got made me grateful. Grateful doing what I am doing, and having amazing people with me along the journey. Although some people come to stay for a while and other are just passing by, having each and one of those experiences makes us grow as people – and hopefully enriches us to what the future holds.

That being said, each trip I’ve made is a gift to myself. Besides from the obvious of seeing new faces, spaces and cultures, with each trip I learn more about myself – my own capacity and how the life I want to live. And that my friends, that’s priceless.

And so, another intensive week of fashion is over. All I can say that all and all, its been an amazing week, both Stockholm and Copenhagen.

Although going from one show to another might not sound intense for one, the truth is that is more than just that. Its a time were people in the industry come together, not only to just to report about the upcoming trends but a lot of networking happens and new projects are born.

Next year, I’m planning to visit New York, Milan and Paris and I am already very excited since there are some major changes happening in the fashion industry. Such as Tom Ford cancelling their show for this season, read the full interview here.

As for my look on the second day of Stockholm Fashion Week, I layered up two By Malene Birger coats and wore the black as a dress with over-knee-boots. Both will be out in stores soon.
