The Tale of the Fringes

One of the biggest trend of the season are fringes, if you’re following me on Snapchat you’ve surly understood by now that I’ve adapted wholeheartedly.  There’s many reasons why I’ve love fringe skirts, one of them is that such a fun and playful piece. It adds great movement to a look and I dare to say its versatile too.

Whether worn with a lived-in T-shirt or a crisp, white button-down or a boxy knitted sweater, the skirt makes a daring statement. In other words, it take your style to the next level. Heads up for a summer tale filled with fringes.

One easy way to wear fringes during weekdays is to wear it with a sweater and sneakers, to make it a little more interesting I matched it with khaki and leopard sneakers. Interested in hoping on the trend? Its pretty affordable, see the pieces I’ve picked out from various brands.

The lace-up heels is the footwear choice of the fashion pack, as it’s perfect for pulling off a chic influenced trend without being too literal.  This versatile piece is a must-have in your wardrobe, as it can be dressed up or down and comes in a variety of fabrications.

Recap of the Month: May

By the risk of sounding like a cliche, May flew by in the blink of an eye. May is one of my favorite month since the weather usually is warmer which allows of to officially change to summer wardrobe. This time, I had the opportunity to revisit Los Angeles which opened a lot of new doors.

Meeting Isabel Adrian was a great experience, great conversations and inspiring to say the least. If you haven’t read my feature, make sure to read it here. While being back in Stockholm, I had the opportunity to meet the super woman and oh so inspiring Emma Sjöberg-Wiklund again. I’ve said it before and I’ll keep saying it again, this woman’s energy is incredible. Read the article here.

Things has taken new turns which I am hoping to share more with you shortly depending how the cards plays out. But to sum up an eventful month, it sure has been a ride both in terms of experiences and emotions. Lets hope may brings us more sunshine and beautiful opportunities to grow from.

Here’s my recap of all the outfits I’ve worn and of course I would love to know which one your favorite is! Let me know in the comments and then I will tell you mine as well, hugs!

Motivational Monday

The lack of motivation has been shining with its absence lately due to several reasons, instead of charging the batteries I’ve run them dry which led to some serious sleep catching up. While the lack of sleep was getting a nasty companion, enthusiasm was fading away – horrible, I know!

However, its always good to have a few tips and tricks handy when motivation and enthusiasm is decreasing.

1. Dedicate 5-10 minutes everyday and visualize yourself acting with enthusiasm and motivation.

2. Dedicate 5-1o minutes every day of how your enthusiasm and motivations will help you reach your goals.

3. Never, and I mean never compare yourself with other. I can’t stress this enough but focus on you and your own goals instead of thinking about others.

4. In the end of it all, its about having fun. And if you’re not having fun while doing it, think about what you enjoyed about it in that made you start from the beginning.

5. Lastly, remember that things take time. With preservations and consistency, doors will open that you never though was possible.

Lets be honest, staying motivated and enthusiastic takes a little effort but these five tips has helped me along the years. Hopefully, within the next few month I’m going to be able to share more details about the last tip.

Wish you all a great start on this week and remember to always be kind to yourself as well as others.

Sunday in basics! Always feels like a good old leather jacket does the trick to feel comfortable yet look effortless in the same time.

In the spirit of the weekend, comfort and chic and the two C-words I’m looking for when getting dressed. This time, instead of going all black – a little pop of navy blue added a nice contrast.

I’ve been receiving mails regarding my Mansur Gavriel the past weeks so I though I’d mention it here too that I’ve purchased it Stockholm. But yes, its sold out but will be back in stock in August. If I’ll stumble on more information, I’ll promise to let you know. Another question that some have been asking is what size mine is, its the mini – it suits me perfect for the purpose I use it for.
