Bam as in Balmain

The fashion world woke up to H&M’s biggest annual announcements, their next collaboration – and this year is going to huge. The swedish retailer is teaming up with one of the worlds greatest fashion houses, Balmain. The collection will be released on 5th of November, but we could already sneak a peek of upcoming collection at yesterdays Billboard Music Awards – Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn wore looks from the forthcoming collaboration on the red carpet.

What a bam, mark your calendars for November 5! In honor of todays great news, I’ve decided to publish a look wearing no other than Pierre Balmain bomber. A simplistic monochrome look paired up with lace-up pumps from Schutz and Victoria Beckham aviators via Loveyewear.

Have you ever heard anyone saying that they need a vacation after your vacation? Beating this jet lag has been interesting, lets just say that I’ve gained a new found respect for people who often travel across the world  – it took me at least four days before I started feeling as my usual self.

Although I’ve got back a week ago, this weekend couldn’t come any sooner. There is something special about Saturday morning, I love starting the weekend with a breakfast in bed while catching up with TV shows or browsing through fashion magazines. There are times like these, where I recharge and reboot.

The older I get, I’ve learned the importance of taking the time to reboot. Life can get hectic at times, days become weeks and weeks become months and all of a sudden a year has passed. One of the promises that I’ve made myself a few years ago when my father passed away was to start living with intention. Meaning, doing what I truly want to do instead of letting life taking over. Following the stream of live can be good, as long as you know where you’re headed. But every now and then, its good to take a little break to reflect, reboot and then procede.

Off Shoulder

In terms of favorite necklines, this one is a win every time – it breaths simplicity and chicness is a perfect symbios. Since denim and white tops are a reappearing favorite second skin, a off-shoulder top and button-up skirt felt like the best summer attire.

Nothing ground-breaking or challenging, just easy, uncomplicated basics that with combined with trusty to-go sunglasses, bag and lace-up gladiator sandals. Regardless if you’re strolling the streets during a urban summer or your summer resort, this look is a win – just like the neckline.

Call The Shots

Sometimes there’s nothing slicker than straight up black and white. A lack of colour need not be boring, as well as there is always a place for white trainers. Sometimes, there is nothing more captivating to take your favorite toy to town and captivate moments.

Although I’ve been an avid snapper for many years, my passion for photography keeps growing as I learn to master the arts of photography. I love to capture moments, people, feelings from my perspective which I am planning to share with you all shortly.

To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place. I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” — Elliott Erwitt

As for this look, simple monochromatic dressing has always been an aesthetic that I’m down with. I’ve got no doubt these classic Stan Smith sneakers are deemed to become a repeat offender, and this slouchy (and slightly saucy) top is exactly what I’ll be wrapping up in when I hit the streets of Stockholm to capture more shots.

And on another note, being back home is great except the massive jetlag. Flying across the world didn’t hit me as hard as it does ones I’m back in Europe. Note to yourself: take a few days off before getting back to work when you travel across the globe!

Life Lately

Life lately has been a journey, literally that is. These past couple of weeks have been filled new emotions and ideas. Life lately, hasn’t changes really as much although things look different now. “Traveling is the only thing you buy that makes you richer. “ Yes and yes! I absolutley agree.

Traveling is an investment. It teaches you more about life than the 4 corners of your office in your 9 to 5 job. An Investment that cannot be snatched by anyone from you, like an education.

Couldn’t stay away from of my favorite spots in Santa Monica although I was jet lagged and had worked out that morning. Thats how much I like it.

What screams vacation more than hanging out by the pool and soaking in the sun while reading a book and enjoying a drink?

Coming back to The Grove was great, specially because I used to live very close by. This shot was taken one evening at Cheesecakes factory’s terass while having dinner with an old friend. We were both amazed over how beautiful the light hit the bounding as the sun was setting.

Visited Laguna Beach, words can’t describe how much I love this place. One of the most beautiful places that I’ve seen and so far my heaven or earth.

Another dish that was orded many times. And yes, this avocado toast the best I’ve ever had. Can Le Pain le Quotidien please open in Stockholm?

”It is the nature of the strong heart, that like the palm tree it strives ever upwards when it is most burdened.” – Sir Philip Sidney

A breakfast I always eat at Toast – Belgian waffles with strawberries, bananas and whipped cream. A pure dream on other words.

One of the things I love about LA is the street art, sometimes you stumble upon them and leave a mark – just as traveling does. It leaves a mark, memories and it can change you and your outlook  well the direction in life.
