Acne Studios

Acne Studios debuted its first full eyewear collection this week, to predictably covetable results. The Swedish brand has turned out the occasional pair of shades previously, but this weeks launch brings seven styles for men and women, all retro around the edges but with plenty of 21st-century appeal.

Naturally, I’ve had to pay our store in Stockholm a little visit to take a closer look – needless to say, I was blowing away and didn’t leave the store empty handed. Being an avid aviator user, these Spitfire sunglasses stole my heart. I love the retro feeling with a modern twist. Click on the images below to see more of the collections and details.

Denim on Denim

The other day, what was supposed to be a warmer day, was smitten by the typical April weather. And me, in my thin trench coat, almost frostbitten. I call it “Optimistic Chic”, in which positive warm vibes will hopefully become a reality. So I will be wearing lighter coats, despite what sartorial forecast I see through my Stockholm window. Yes, that is the easiest way to get dressed ’round here.

Maybe a pair or jeans and denim shirt is a great base and wind resistant to pull off a lighter trench coat. And maybe its too early to wear sandal heels, but when you’re reached the point that you’re done – you just are. So whether spring is blessing us with its presence anytime soon, I’m going into spring mode. Luckily, bags are all around.

Wake up and smell the coffee

I have a weak spot anything French, food, language, architecture, art and of course fashion. So you can only imagine how much I’m enjoying my new little apartment, sometimes I get so influenced that I catch myself wearing something I imagine I would put on while going for a coffee run if I lived in Paris. A girls can dream, right?

As for this look, its very simple yet sophisticated as it breathes that French ‘je ne sais quoi’. What’s better to get ready in the morning and go for a little coffee run before heading to the office, the sun shining makes the whole morning more glorious. Which reminds me that its barely two weeks left till I leave for Los Angeles, the word ecstatic doesn’t even measure up to what I’m feeling.

Mansur Gavriel Bag

Every once in a while, there comes a bag that steals your heart away. Not only is it love at first sight, but you simply can’t thinking about it. If you’re collecting on bags, shoes, sunglasses, jacket or any other particular piece –  you know exactly what I’m talking about. It that piece that must be a part of your collection – or else it you will always obsess about it as the piece that got away.

When I first spotted this bag, my jaw dropped – literally. It was like looking at the perfect bucket bag and nothing could compare to it. And nothing did. Although I adore my bag collection, I felt something was missing. That perfect day to day bag that I can stuff with everything from my little camera, wallet, sunnies and go-to makeup products. My bags where either to small or too big.

Yesterday, I made up my mind that it was time. However, in the store I was introduced to the tote which made me a bit undeceive. With a little help from my lovely Instagram followers – I made an decision and took the perfect one. And lets be clear about one thing, I’m rarely undeceive which was a bit of a chocker for myself as well as my dear friend Viktoria whom accompanied me.

Lets just put it like this, I love this little piece of joy. It’s perfect in so many levels and I absolutely love its clean and sophisticated silhouette. Ladies (and gentlemen), let me introduce you to Mansur Gavriel. The brand was founded 2012 in New York by Rachel Mansur and Florina Gavriel, the pieces are designed in NYC and made in Italy by the highest quality of leather and old craftsmanship in the Veneto region of Italy. Needless to say, this little beauty is a piece of art.
