It’s the first Monday of the year, which means the first Motivational Monday article. A new is a time for new resolutions, however, on a personal note – I decided to skip all the resolutions this time around and only focus on my goals. The word resolutions has lost its power which is why it can be a good idea to play around with words and find what works with you.
That being said, the list of 2015’s goals are long – in order to achieve these goals its essential to start right away. Regardless what your goals are – you need to start working on them right here and right now. It dosent matter if you are working on that bikini body, or want to take new direction with your career or even move abroad. Everything you want to be successful acquires time, planning and understanding that its a process. And by doing so – you will thank yourself 3 months from now.

If there is one city to get lost in, enjoy delicate food, pastries and coffee, see beautiful architecture, fashion and fall madly in love with, then it has to be Paris. Little did I know what an impact this city would have on my spirit, it was bitterly like falling in love and coming home. However, this was not the first time visiting Paris but there is a difference when you traveling as a younger girl and traveling as a matured woman. In addition, experiencing it with the love of you life and sharing the moments hand in hand.
As for this shots, we shot it at the heart of the area that we were staying – Madeleine. You can find the most amazing stores, restaurants and architecture as well as Chanels flagship store at 31 Rue Cambon. Although we explored other parts of the city, Madeleine felt like home for us. Since the weather was nothing like cold Stockholm, I took the opportunity to wear a long knitted dress, Alexander Wang Lys booties, Chanel Boy Bag and Céline Havana sunglasses. Easy, warm enough and a little edge added with the help of these amazing shoes -I call them my warrior booties.
And on another note, I’m incredibly happy with the result of my hair. Therese, my dear friend, college and hair stylist nailed it one again. Dying my dark (Persian) hair to this light shade is not easily done, it usually take a few sessions – but if you are looking for an amazing hair stylist, you should contact her.

December 31st. New Years Eve. A time to celebrate something new and the year that has passed, this year we decided that we wanted to something different by ringing in the new year in a another city – what better than Paris? Coming back to this fantastic city was amazing, it was like falling in love.
As for the last day of the year, I had in mind what my first pit stop would be – the Chanel flagship store at 31 Rue Cambon. It was a great experience to visit the store. But I didn’t leave empty handed. Can anyone guess what I got?
As you may know from social media channels – I’ve gone from blond to silver. All thanks to my amazing hair stylist Therese, I’ve never met a stylist who is so professional, passionate and dedicated to her work. Dying dark hair to blond is not something easy, actually, its one of the hardest things. Especially, when the hair has been colored before. I had a ombre which means were not only one color, however, there is nothing my girl can’t do. So the night prior to our departure, Therese took me from blond to silver – the result is amazing!

The distinction between off-duty and on-duty wear has always been a hazy concept. Frankly, I don’t believe the notion of ”dressing up” for certain occasions – my philosophy instead is to dress precisely how I wish to at any given time. If you ask me, clothes are a way to express yourself at so there shouldn’t be any rules of does and don’ts. Another philosophy of mine is that one can at 99,9% rock a certain item, or color all depending on whether the person is owning the look.
As for this look, its pretty simple and effortless – one of my all time philosophies. A slim turtle neck knit, leather pants, bomber jacket, pointy toe booties with pair of big sunglasses. My thoughts simply being: well, why not? I’m aiming is to invest in a wardrobe of pieces I can wear day-to-night / lunch-to-dinner / work-to -play without the need to change – it is simply a case of conjuring up the right combinations to ensure a neat balance is met each time. By your terms, mind – forget everyone else’s. The more we start dressing for ourselves, regardless of the occasions, the more likely are we to develop a personal sustainable style.

As this year is coming to an end, the expectations and hopes for the next year are rising. This shift allows us to look back, summarize and analyze. What was good and what wasn’t? Did you accomplish your goals? Or are you still coming up with excuses why you haven’t started?
This brings us to the last Motivational Monday post for the year – life may have its ups and downs, we may be challenged every day. But let us remember that these challenges makes us better – because we learn something new. And knowledge is power.
Let 2015 be the year you stopped making excuses for yourself, stopped accusing other for your own happiness, stopped comparing yourself to other, stopped blaming your life situation for why you aren’t working towards your goal. Just stop, no more excuses, no more procrastinating – only action. Regardless of how big or small the action is, the important thing is that you make an effort every day. This effort will shorty become a routine, one that you can apply to other aspects of your life.
If there is anything that I wish for you, it is that you realize from the depth of your soul that the only one standing in your own way is yourself.
